The position invites applicants who have an accounting understanding to balance sheet stage with at least 2years accounts experience.
The role is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or someone who is partway through their accounting studies with a good understanding of accounting principles.
Skills required: Excel, word, general administration, data entry, and general ledger reconciliations.

Duties as follows:

Accounts Receivable
-Processing Job card.
-Processing daily banking (ensuring that the customers and quote matched).
-Weekly Invoice run (VIC. & QLD.).
-Updating dispatch book & Job order tracking.
-Processing credit notes.
-Prepare debtors journals.
-Monthly reconciliation of Debtors control account and subsidiary account.
-Month end closure and reports.

Credit Management
-Follow up outstanding debts (by phoned or visiting site).
-Liaise with debt collection agency.
-Review and process account application.
-Attend monthly credit control meeting.
-Prepared monthly credit analysis report (debtors age, 60 day or greater, bad debts).

General Ledger
Monthly tasks
-Coding of corporate cards – (Amex, MasterCard, Diners).
-Preparation of Std Journals.
-GST clearing reconciliation.
-Other General Ledger reconciliation’s.
Other Duties
Review and maintaining the following:
-FBT files.
-Tax sensitive accounts.
-Capital Expenditure.

Insurance
- Insurance Register.
- Review documentation for claims.
- Monthly trade indemnity returns.
Liaise with insurance broker (general & trade indemnity).

Assist with:
- Monthly stock counts.
- Development of spreadsheets and macro’s for job costing.
- Budget preparations.
- Year-end financial accounts.
- Tax returns.
- Superannuation Fund.

And any other duties as directed.
