The balustrade is timber with a turned (ex 50*50mm) baluster. The handrail (75*50mm HR04) commences with an open wreathing scroll over a cluster and a double ended bullnose step. The handrail was hand carved and is wreathing and continuous at the changes in pitch. This closed staircase has traditional cut strings.
