The balustrade is timber with a rectangle (ex 50*25mm) baluster in combination with a feature (ex 100*25mm) baluster. The handrail (80*60mm HR02) commences with an over sized (ex 150x150mm) newel post. The newel post has a tapered chamfered detail. Smaller newels (ex 100 x100mm) are used at the changes in pitch. This closed staircase has traditional cut strings.
