The balustrade is timber with a square (ex 50*50mm) baluster. The handrail (ex 80*60mm HR02) commences with a wreathing scroll over a feature chamfered scroll newel and a bullnose step. The handrail is hand carved and is wreathing and continuous at the changes in pitch. This closed staircase has closed strings.
