The balustrade is clear 12mm toughened glass that has been side mounted to 50 x 25mm stainless steel uprights. The staircase is closed with modern concealed cut stringers and the 60mm thick treads are cantilevered from the stringer. Owing to changes to building regulations and standards a handrail maybe required.
