This period staircase is as complex as it is beautiful. With a number of changes in pitch, the detail and flare, this staircase had many challenges. The staircase commences with a bullnose step that have been shaped to allow it to finish into a newel post both sides. The bottom strings are flared to open the bottom of staircase. The strings are cut to the profile of the treads and risers. The balustrade is timber with a turned (ex 50*50mm) baluster.
