Designed by a leading Melbourne architectural firm this stair consists of concrete stair, timber fascias (painted) and stainless steel balustrade and sits like a sculpture in the foyer of this magnificent home

The upper stair is directly over the lower stair and both staircases are curved. The staircase is closed with closed strings and deep fascias. As both staircases are concrete our work commenced on site at the completion of this stage. Our role in the project was to curve, laminate, craft and then install the curved strings and fascia. The stringers and fascia were ex 600*100mm and as you could imagine, the weight of the strings was great. The line of the string to the fascia at the change in pitch required great care and attention. The strings and fascia formed the platform of this individually designed stainless steel handrail with stainless bar.
