Specifications

This large staircase is the feature of the room.  The staircase commences with a bullnose step with a curved riser line and that have been shaped to allow it to accommodate a scroll. The flight has a double curve, so both the top and bottom sections of the staircase are flared out. The width of the flight at the top of the staircase has been adjusted to smooth the transition between the flight and level. The strings have been cut to the profile of the treads and risers. The balustrade is constructed using a heavily featured wrought iron balustrade that frames an open stairwell.
