This angled staircase is the feature of the entry. The strings are closed. The treads have a rounded nosing and have been covered in carpet. At the change in pitch at the landing the string has been cranked. The weight of the glass has been carefully considered in the design and the installation of this staircase. The clear 12mm toughened glass is side mounted to the strings and first floor fascia using patch fittings.
