This feature curved staircase makes an incredible impression. The sweeping plaster lines and  self-supporting appearance come together to provide the owner with a stunning focal point in the home.

The construction of this staircase consisted of large timber stringers with curved stud walls to form the dramatic plastered shape. A P50 detail was used on the inner junction between stringer and plaster. This staircase is hung from the ceiling to provide its structural integrity. Parquetry was laid over an MDF landing to finish the base of the staircase. Finally, the stair was finished with a 50mm diameter dark stained hardwood handrail.
