This L shaped, boxed staircase is a fitting addtion to this modern home. The strings are constructed to give the illusion of stacked boxes. This look is particularly effective when a basement stair is positioned below.The stair uses Victorian Ash with a dark stain to give a great contrast to the white painted walls.

The balustrade consists of 50mm diameter stainless steel posts with rigging wire running between the posts. A rectangular 70mm X 32mm handrail has been placed above the posts.

This staircase shows the benefits of using a dark stain in conjunction with a standard hardwood as opposed to using clear polished expensive exotic timbers.
