The bottom flight strings have been flared to open up the bottom of the stair. The strings are closed and have matching detail at the capping and the bottom of the strings. Large newel posts have been used at the change in pitch and direction. The newel tops and bottoms are detailed to match the period. The treads are ex 330*38mm and have been finished with a rounded nosing. The balustrade is timber with a rectangle (ex 100*25mm) baluster.
