Everything about this staircase is big. This T shaped staircase commences with a bullnose step that has been crafted into a curved foot to the floor on both sides. The bottom flight strings have been flared open at the bottom of the staircase to almost 2100mm between posts. The size of the bottom flight treads and posts was a key challenge. The joinery work was carefully considered. The inner string and the outer strings have been cut to the profile of the treads and risers. The balustrade is timber with a rectangle (ex 50*25mm) baluster in combination with a feature double twist and basket steel baluster (S08).
