This large curved staircase is the feature of this entry. This staircase is unique because of many changes in pitch and direction, this design constraint makes the line of the strings at the transition points a key consideration. The base of the staircase has been flared to open the entry point. The stair commences with a bullnose step that has been shaped to allow for the installation of a scroll. The bullnose has been crafted into a curved foot to the floor. The open strings have been cut to the profile of the treads and risers. The balustrade uses timber handrail with square steel balusters.
