This U shaped staircase is open with cut strings that crank to support the landing. To lock the cranked strings in position they have been fixed into a joist on the back wall. The treads are ex 300*50 as are the landing boards. The lengths and space between the top and bottom flights have been off set to allow for finger room. The balustrade uses square 16*16mm steel balusters.
