This Federation staircase commences with a bullnose step that has been shaped to allow it to finish into a bottom newel post on one side and into a curved foot to the floor on the other. The strings are closed. The newel tops and bottoms are detailed to match the period. The treads are ex 300*38 and have been finished with a rounded nosing. The balustrade is timber with a rectangle (ex 75*25mm) baluster in that alternate.
